Le th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire a acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des connaissances sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es et \u00e0 de l\u2019information confidentielle que le patient ou client ne poss\u00e8de pas. Le th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire a \u00e9galement le pouvoir de se porter \u00e0 la d\u00e9fense du patient ou client. Par cons\u00e9quent, il est essentiel que les th\u00e9rapeutes respiratoires respectent la relation qu\u2019ils ont avec leurs patients ou clients par le biais d\u2019une communication efficace, de soins ax\u00e9s sur le patient ou client et du maintien de <strong>limites professionnelles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dans une relation th\u00e9rapeutique entre un patient ou client, l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat v\u00e9ritable de cette personne passe toujours en premier, \u00e0 moins que r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cet int\u00e9r\u00eat mette en danger le bien-\u00eatre d\u2019autrui. En raison de la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 du patient ou client, c\u2019est le th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire qui est tenu de g\u00e9rer la relation de fa\u00e7on appropri\u00e9e. Dans certaines de ces relations, on retrouve un d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre de pouvoir dans les relations des th\u00e9rapeutes respiratoires (p. ex., un th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire surveillant des \u00e9tudiants, un th\u00e9rapeute en charge de superviser de nouveaux th\u00e9rapeutes respiratoires). La th\u00e9rapeute respiratoire accepte et ils commencent \u00e0 \u00e9changer en ligne et s\u2019envoient des photos et des commentaires personnels.
